In addition to the vast experience of Mr Steve Whitmore in aviation security within Australia, the team have significant experience in the application of aviation security in Australia, Brunei and the Middle East.  The team members have been involved in the following projects:

Dubai International Airport*
Kerran conducted peer reviews for the checked baggage screening systems, PAX screening systems, the security separation methodology and the security technology design of the 1,000,000 M2 Terminal 3, Concourse 2 and 3 complexes in the Dubai International Airport expansion.  The reviews were carried out with the assistance of another specialised expert in the baggage handling area.
As result of these reviews significant changes were made to the designs for the terminals and concourses in these disciplines. In addition Kerran and CCD Australia were engaged by the Department of Civil Aviation projects division in Dubai to oversee the development of these elements of the mega T2-C2/C3 projects.

Further and as a result of these works CCD Australia were commissioned to undertake the following additional works on the Dubai Airport campus.Kerran chaired a committee to develop and oversee the generation of all of the X-ray technologies to be utilised on the Dubai International Airport campus.  The committee comprised Dubai Customs, Dubai Police and DCA security Airports campus, including all screening technologies.  

· Kerran and Brad carried out an evaluation of 9 - Multi view Computer tomography automated CBS machines.  This
   evaluation involved the development of the methodology to determine the performance of the machines ability to detect
   varying explosives to satisfy ICAO and Dubai’s strict security requirements;
· Kerran assisted by Brad were nominated as DCA engineers representative for the screening systems which is the
   largest Dual system multi-view cargo X-ray in the world for the Mega Flower Centre in Dubai;
· Kerran carried out a review role for the development of the security and screening philosophies for the Mega Cargo
   centre being constructed in Dubai; and
· Kerran and Brad investigated and then produced a report on the options available to the DCA in Dubai for screening of
   all vehicles for weapons and explosives incoming through the Airside/Landside boundary into the DIA.


Cairns International Airport*
Kerran led the SKM teams undertaking the security work for the upgrade and redevelopment of the Cairns international Airport this work included:
· Designs and overseeing of implementation and commissioning of the:  
· Checked baggage screening systems,
· PAX screening systems,
· The security separation methodology,
· The security technology design .
· For the new domestic terminal,
Design document and procure the integration of the new campus wide CCTV and Access Control Systems to encompass the complete airport security solution.


Brunei International Airport
Kerran carried out the security component of the master plan for the re-development of the Brunei International Airport, including compliance with ICAO requirements. The project was developed by continuous stakeholder involvement over a period of some eight months resulting in the development of the security master plan from the redevelopment of the complete Airport.

The Brunei International Airport is the combination of three separate aviation entities, all of which have unique security criteria. 
The Brief addressed:
· New security solution for the complete airport perimeter;
· Physical security design, including blast mitigation and airside/landside separation of the new terminal as well as the
   cargo catering and fuel facilities;
· Technology overlay to support the physical security infrastructure security infrastructure;
· Checked bag screening systems; and
· PAX screening systems. 

As a result of the above a further commission was awarded to undertake the security upgrade of an industrial airport on Brunei to meet ICAO standards.  These included:
· New security solution for the complete airport perimeter;
· Physical security design, including blast mitigation and airside/landside separation of the new terminal as well as the
   cargo catering and fuel facilities;
· Technology overlay to support the physical security infrastructure security infrastructure;
· Checked bag screening systems;
· PAX screening systems; and
· Writing and obtaining approval of the airport and airline security programs to meet ICAO criteria. 


Perth International Airport
Steve, Kerran and Brad were involved in the new perimeter security solution for the Perth International Airport, involving both physical and technology elements.  The project was the first in the country to include full perimeter security solution.

In addition Kerran and Brad were instrumental in the R&D for the development of a new domestic sterile zone secure exit solution that does not require attendance of security guards.  This solution is now being deployed into airports across Australia.
· Kerran and Brad carried out the design for a new Airport and security control centre;
· Brad carried out the design for new taxi management system; and
· Kerran carried out the design for PAX screening solutions for the Terminal 1,Terminal 3 and the new Terminal WA

Further Steve, Kerran and Brad were also involved in the following CCTV solutions for the airport:
· CCTV solution for terminals 1, 2 & 3 for forecourts; and
· CCTV and patron safety solutions for the majority of the short and long term car parks

In addition to the above CCD-Alliance members have undertaken security projects on the following Australian Airports:
Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Hobart, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Darwin, Port Hedland, Broome and Karratha Airports
