Financial Services and Intrinsically Valuable Materials
The following indicates the experience in the types of projects undertaken by the CCD-Alliance members associated with financial services and other intrinsically valuable products.

Kerran was the team leader on this intrinsically valuable materials security section of his prior company CCD Australia.  To assist this, research trips were undertaken to view:
· Bullion storage facilities in UK, Switzerland and Australia;
· Banknote processing and/or storage facilities in UK,
   Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, South Africa and
   Canada;
· Coin manufacturing facilities in UK, Singapore and Australia; and
· The testing of vault wall and door construction in Australia,
   Switzerland, Japan and Canada.
As a result of this research, Kerran and other members of the team have been involved in many of the more prominent of these projects across world.  Some of these include:

Monitory Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) bank notes processing facility (Currency House)*
Kerran and Joe were responsible for the security design of the then Board of Commissioners of Currency Singapore’s (BCCS) - Currency House.  The project when completed was the largest fully automated bank notes processing facility in the world.  The scope of the project included:
· Site selection;
· Project risk assessment;
· Security planning and banknote process overlay to guide the architectural team;
· Security planning and banknote process of the materials handling system for the project;
· All aspects of the physical design including the planning of the defence in depth security overlay for
   project;
· The structural design guidelines (building envelope sizes and composition) of all areas involving
   banknote movement, processing and storage, including the planning and design of the vaults and
   specifications for the vault doors;
· The design and documentation and overseeing of the installation and commissioning of the security
   technology for the facility; and
· Production of guidelines for the security management and operational documentation.

Peoples Bank Of Sri Lanka - Head office including bank notes processing*
Kerran and Joe were responsible for the complete security design for the proposed new headquarters for the Peoples Bank of Sri Lanka.  The bank included a bank notes processing and storage within the facility, and was completely redesigned after bombing of the Central Bank to cater not only for a high security facility but also to meet the then threat of terrorist activities and blast.
The project included    
· Project risk assessment;
· Security planning to guide the architectural and services design teams;
· All aspects of the physical design, including the planning of the defence in depth security overlay for
  the project;
· Physical design and blast overlay including structure and facade design guidelines; and
· The design and documentation for the security technology for the facility.

Western Australian Gold Coining Facility*
Team members were responsible for the security planning and physical design (in liaison with the Architects) for the complete security design of the new Gold Corp gold coining facility.  The project included:
· Project risk assessment;
· Aspects of the physical design, including the planning of the defence in depth security overlay for
  project;
· Physical design of vaults processing areas;
· Specification for the vault doors; and
· The design and documentation for the security technology for the facility.

Western Australian Gold Refineries*
Team members were responsible for the complete security design of the two Gold refineries for Goldcorp one located in Kalgoorlie and the other at Perth Airport.
The projects included:
· Project risk assessment;
· Aspects of the physical design, including the planning of the defence in depth security overlay for
   project;
· Guidelines for the architectural and services aspects of the project ;
· Physical design of vaults processing areas, including definition of the vault planning and wall
   construction, specification of the vault doors and the overseeing of the installation and
   commissioning; and
· The design and documentation, and overseeing of the implementation and commissioning for the
   security technology for the facility including the perimeter security solutions.
